Role Overview

Reporting to the Sr. Manager of FP&A, the Financial Analyst is responsible for providing financial analytical support that drives business results. They will play a key role in financial modelling, financial analysis, variance analysis, sales trending, month end close, annual planning/forecasting as well as ad hoc projects for BGRS businesses. This individual will also support the decision–making process by collaborating closely with the Client Services, Operations, Supply Chain, and G&A teams.

What You'll Be Doing
 

• Gather and synthesize sales, margin and cost data to understand business drivers, establish KPIs and performance targets
• Support the FP&A team with profitability reporting and analysis, expense tracking, variance analysis, measuring, and tracking business development opportunities.
• Assist with analysis, reports, and presentations for the month-end close process by focusing on key drivers for sales and direct margin variances.
• Provide decision support to help grow and improve profitability of existing client engagements and build pricing proposals for prospective clients.
• Support the G&A, Operations and Supply Chain teams with regular tracking of expenses and KPIs
• Provide comprehensive analytical support during the budget, forecasts, and the strategic plan
• Proactively engage as a valued business partner in ad hoc projects as required, including participation in initiatives impacting direct margin and support other BGRS planning initiatives as required.
• ​Recommend and initiate process improvements in all areas of responsibilities.
• ​Identify and communicate business risks and opportunities.

What You Bring to BGRS

Education Level

• University degree preferably in Finance or Accounting

• Month end close
• Planning and forecasting
• Accounting
• P&L Management

• ​Minimum 2-3 years of progressive financial/accounting experience

• Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
• Sound judgment & problem solving skills
• ​Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel, Power Pivot and PowerPoint
• Strong leadership skills and demonstrates initiative
• HFM or similar ERP experience would be an asset
• Experience in the application of GAAP
• Solid business acumen and strong team player
• Role models personal accountability and drive for results
• Self-starter with strong analytical skills and decision-making capabilities
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and be detail oriented
• Ability to manage tasks concurrently​
