Director, Client Financial Services (Global Mobility Compensation)

The Director, Client Financial Services (Global Mobility Compensation) is responsible for overall supervision and support for the CFS Team. The team includes a group of accounting professionals responsible for US payroll reporting, as well as the delivery of international compensation services. This position will interact with Client Services, Clients, and Customers. The Director will provide support for one or more of the following responsibilities, as applicable: lead team in accurate and timely preparation of cost projections, draft balance sheets, maintenance of ongoing balance sheets, reconciliation of monthly/periodic payroll, host comp accumulation gathering, US payroll reporting, the calculation and audit of US tax assistance, taxability reporting, FAR reporting, and participation in DCAA audits.

The Director will also be responsible for participation and management of all phases of the accounting process including troubleshooting, implementing new processes, communicating and presenting to all levels within the organization, external clients and suppliers.

Responsibilities
  • Be the “face of accounting” for the portfolio of clients or processes your team supports
  • Manage associates’ caseloads and department resources to ensure individual and team objectives are met
  • Communicate across all departments within Brookfield for resolution of issues
  • Provide training and coaching to accounting professionals
  • Assist and direct on complex issues
  • Support new business development
  • Assist in education and training for accounting related services
  • Implement process improvements
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of services within the scope of client SLAs
  • Work with contracts, operations and the client to determine accurate scope of services, document service delivery, and transition implementation of new services to the CFS Team
  • Ensure accurate and timely billing in partnership with Production for any fees we manage
  • Develop team for future opportunities through proactive leadership and educational opportunities
  • Ensure maintenance of detailed tracking of activities to ensure processed prescribed metrics (established by client) can be reported on in a timely manner
  • Participate in client meetings, team meetings, cross departmental meetings, conference calls, and training as needed
  • Lead overall objective process, annual/bi-annual review process, and team development.
  • Support Sales and Implementation teams for development of new business and successful on-boarding of new clients.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance, or Associates Degree with relevant experience, or equivalent job experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of expatriate administration experience preferred
  • Strong leadership and managerial skills.
  • Ability to develop strong internal and external relationships with key contacts.
  • Must excel in communicating clearly and concisely, both in verbal and written communications.
  • Strong analytical and investigative skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Knowledge of service engine preferred
  • Knowledge of FAR regulations and experience participating in DCAA audits preferred
  • Ability to understand, document, and train process flows in a high volume environment
  • Working knowledge of MS Office
  • Motivated to succeed

  • May include some travel
