Role Overview

The Director, Digital Products leads a 3-person team whose mandate is to drive forward the digital roadmap with our customers and prospects.


 

What You’ll Be Doing

 

Clients and Prospects

 

  • Works closely with Client Development and Client Services who are engaged with the prospects and clients to understand their direction and strategy in order to contribute to IT solution needs.

  • Accountable for the successful implementation of new clients from a technology and reporting perspective.
  • Demos client technology and enhancements with prospects and current clients.
  • Participates in Best and Final presentations and Client Forums.
  • Responsible for the coordination, research and writing of high quality and timely RFP and RFI responses related to digital technology platform.
  • Be conversant on how the products work; be able to work with clients to assess product fit; help the customer envision how the solution could be utilized.

 

 

Products

 

  • Key contributor to new IT digital product development, including analysis, design, vendor selection, contract negotiation, knowledge transfer to delivery and support teams.

  • Takes a lead role in bringing forward digital products and trends to the IT roadmap. Responsible for taking the finalized roadmap and bringing it to life with the various internal stakeholder groups such as IT Development and Marketing.

  • Research and recommend new digital products/channels and/or identify new market opportunities.

  • Understand product design and delivery expertise; collaborate with Marketing to design compelling product packages; be a digital product evangelist.

 

Business Process

 

  • Works with IT Delivery, PMO and L&D to coordinate proper handoff of solution into the delivery process and to provide SME support as needed during the delivery phase.

  • Collaborates and communicates with Client Services stakeholders about client technology, new releases, issues, resolutions as well as opportunities to better meet client needs.
  • Prepares and manages the Digital Technology budget, develops business cases, and presents proposals for capital projects to senior leadership.

 

Team Management

 

  • Manages the Digital Products team to ensure appropriate resource allocation across various portfolios and ensure the timely and effective resolution of support issues.

  • Assists team members with their client presentations to ensure crisp delivery and strong communication and influencing skills.

  • Provides ongoing coaching and mentoring to the team and leverages internal talent programs to increase employee performance and engagement.

  • Provides oversight and guidance to the team in the creation and delivery of technical presentations to support client development meetings with prospects and as well as demos with existing clients.

  • Instill a culture of high performance and collaboration

 

What You Bring to BGRS

 

  • University degree in Business Administration or Computer Science, Information Services or equivalent.

  • 10+ years of related job experience.

  • 5+ year’s previous People Management experience.

  • Strong knowledge of digital products, focusing on web and mobile channels

  • Experience selling client technology in a B2B environment.

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) internally at various levels of the organization and externally with clients.

  • Strong customer-facing skills with the proven ability to develop and sustain critical relationships at all levels of a client organization (existing and prospective clients).
  • Superior presentation skills to be able to discuss and explain information clearly and concisely to a business and technical and non-technical audience.
  • Strong leadership abilities including experience in collaborating with Senior Management to identify business goals, influence and negotiate through conflicting needs to “sell” a solution and its benefits

  • Ability to conceptualize complex ideas into the key artifacts required to develop solutions

  • Extensive experience with writing business cases, feasibility and alternative studies and competitive and market analysis

  • Strategic and innovative leader who is the key contributor to the longer term IT roadmap.

  • Ability to translate business requirements into technology requirements and modify business requirements according to technology constraints.
  • Ability to think from an end user’s point-of-view in terms of application configuration, usability.

  • Advanced problem-solving and negotiation skills.

  • Strong results orientation and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

  • Previous working experience in a Matrix management structure. Experience in product management and/or solutions management, ideally in an information technology role.

Other Information:

  • Travel and calls:

    • Willingness to travel up to 30-35% (mostly in the US)

    • Some calls required after core hours to accommodate global client base.
