Role Overview

We are seeking a resourceful and motivated professional to join our Human Resources team in our Toronto office. Reporting to the Director, Human Resources & HRIS, the HRIS Analyst is responsible for the management, analysis and reporting of HR Information; ensuring accuracy and completeness of HR reporting and metrics to provide insight to business decisions. The role creates reports and provides internal clients with ad-hoc data for use in statistical analysis, strategic planning, internal/external surveys and presentations and reports.

The successful candidate must be able to foster positive relationships, be solutions oriented, have a keen attention to detail, and be effective at collecting, organizing and analyzing employee and other internal data.


What You'll Be Doing

 

  • Responsible for all aspects of the Talent Management system and related interfaces, including required system maintenance, liaising with IT and the vendor, and trouble-shooting issues.

  • Responsible for system training development and documentation. Creates the written plans for business continuity to plan for any system outage.

  • Serves as the project lead on implementing system upgrades, system enhancements and optimization reviews. Proactively reports on metrics and comes forward with ideas and the practical implications.

  • Collaborates with IT on all system and server upgrades, internal interfaces and system security

  • Serves as a point of contact for all vendor matters (including contracts, invoicing, upgrades).

  • Provides training and documentation to the HR team to ensure that there is a complete understanding of the Talent Management system functionality and processes.

  • leads all monthly, quarterly and annual Talent Management processes including, but not limited to, goal setting, annual appraisals and merit, stay, exit and touch point interviews.

  • Developing end user documentation, and providing support and training for all system changes and/or developments when required;
  • Actively seeking the identification of issues, escalating and managing resolution, as required;
  • Manages the HR-selfservice email box
  • Working collaboratively with global HR team members and business partners to prioritize business and information needs; and providing coaching to all system users with systems issues, questions and changes;
  • Producing regular scheduled reports and analyzing data from HRIS and Talent Management databases on time and ad-hoc as required by business partners;
  • Auditing of and backup for the HRIS
  • Participating and contributing to initiatives and projects by working collaboratively with the global HR team



What You Bring to BGRS

  • The preferred candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:
  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in a business-related discipline (human resources, computer science preferred);
  • Proficiency in creating systems queries, dashboard metrics, report writing and presenting data analysis;
  • 3-5 years of related human resources experience within a corporate HR environment;
  • Technical expertise in data mining, modeling and management;
  • High proficiency in HRIS software;
  • Advanced computer skills in MS SQL and MS Windows environment and software - specifically Excel, Word and PowerPoint;
  • Well-developed logical, analytical, problem solving skills, with the ability to collect, organize, analyze and disseminate significant amounts of information with high attention to detail and accuracy;
  • Ability to work under pressure to and maintain a positive and professional demeanor while meeting all deadlines, conflicting demands, and multiple priorities;
  • Exceptional organizational, time management skills necessary to prioritize calls and requests, manage high volume of activities and changing priorities while maintaining high degree of accuracy;
  • Ability to interact with internal clients to gather and clarify business system requirements, and translate these requirements into an ad-hoc report or a specification document;
  • Must be discreet and demonstrate excellent sound judgment, analytical ability, diplomacy and tact to deal effectively with all levels in the organization;
  • Takes personal pride in his or her work product and is able to audit own work
  • Excellent written and verbal business communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Must be self-directed and capable of working with minimum supervision;
  • Team player with well-developed problem solving skills and ability to take ownership of duties.
