Director, Transportation Pricing

This role requires a Household Goods industry professional with extensive experience in both US Domestic and International pricing. Responsibilities include review of client requests to ensure the pricing team responds accurately and in alignment with our company’s strategy. The Director will be able to assist BGRS with thought leadership and actively participate in the development of new technologies. The Director will also have solid people management skills including: engaging staff and creating a solid team, identifying competency gaps, and providing needed development training. This role will act as the subject matter expert to clients as well as assist in managing our network supplier relationships. 
 

Responsibilities

• Oversees BGRS’ cost management model and all cost analytics and reporting
• Accountable for all Household Goods Pricing Team activities to ensure accurate and timely delivery of all requests in support of departmental and company objectives
• Management of Pricing Team; ensuring the team is successful in meeting company goals while developing their career with BGRS
• Identifies trends, best practices, prepares written analysis and recommendations for cost effective client solutions
• Responsible for technology solutions related to pricing, cost management and analytics, and maintenance of all rates within our technology solution
• Maintain records of all rates, RFs, and analytics responses provided to clients
• Actively participates with team in generating Pricing Team deliverables to our clients.
• Acts as the subject matter expert on Household Goods Pricing and our pricing model to solution client needs
• Manages pricing relationship with our supplier network including daily price requests and regular supplier RFPs

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• 10 years’ experience within the Household Goods industry
• Strong Domestic and International pricing experience
• Proven experience as a People Manager
• Proficiency in Excel and other IT applications
• Familiar with technologies related to Household Goods' pricing and rate engines
• Able to communicate effectively and professionally to all stakeholders
