BGRS has an exciting upcoming opportunity for an experienced HR leader!

 

We are looking for a driven, motivated and experienced HR leader to cover a short-term leave, as the US Director of Human Resources. This contract assignment is ideal for an HR professional looking to enhance their leadership and technical expertise leading a US team, but is also looking for growth opportunity with exposure to global projects and initiatives.

 

Role Description:
The Director of Human Resources role leads the US Solutions team which provides Human Resources business partnering to all divisions and locations in the US. We are seeking an experienced HR leader to cover a short-term leave, with an assignment period of approximately 4 months. This individual will need to be capable of leading the US HR team, balancing and executing on project priorities, and providing strong business partnering support to internal partners. A successful candidate will have a minimum 7 years of broad HR generalist and recruitment experience, and 3-5 years of people leadership experience.

 

 

Key Assignment Responsibilities:

  • Lead the US HR Solutions Team, including 2 direct and 2 indirect reports. This involves overall accountability for the areas of Onboarding, Employee Relations, People Manager training and development, HR business partnering, Talent Acquisition, Employee off boarding and US employment policies, practices and governance

  • Serve as a trusted HR Business Partner/Advisor to the Directors and VPs based in the US. Oversee the HR Managers providing similar support to Managers and below

  • Focus on Leadership Development, including developing and/or reviewing new course content, and organizing, planning and executing on these new initiatives globally. This will involve strong oversight over the project team, managing deadlines and providing feedback, training facilitation, and developing and reporting on global training metrics.

  • Direct management responsibility of US Talent Acquisition Manager, providing oversight of global Talent Acquisition initiatives

  • Responsible for ensuring the Company adheres to all applicable federal, state and local laws

  • May provide strategic input and participation in HR projects and/or business initiatives

  • May participate in other global HR programs and Talent Management priorities

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience at the Senior HR Management or Director level

  • 3-5 years of People Management experience

  • PHR or SPHR certification highly desirable

  • Solid working knowledge of all US federal and applicable state employment legislation

  • Strong decision making skills and demonstrated ability to present a thoughtful business approach to all decisions and to show good judgment

  • Superior customer service skills with the internal client base and the global HR team

  • Exceptional communication skills, including verbal, written and training facilitation/ presentation skills

  • Strong facilitator who is experienced in resolving conflicts between parties

  • Perseverance and a drive for results with a bias for speed and agility

  • Demonstrated ability to move effortlessly through multiple priorities

  • Thrives in a virtual team setting
  • Required to participate in conference calls outside regular business hours to accommodate the global HR team and other business stakeholders
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office as well as HRIS and Talent Management systems
