Role Overview

The payroll specialist will be responsible for a variety of US domestic payroll tasks related to the servicing of BGRS clients. The scope of this positions will include interfacing with client payroll to ensure appropriate reporting of relocation expenses per policy requirements. Manage reporting based on the client’s policy by working with the HR and payroll teams.

  • Customer Focus: Follows-up with customers on a regular basis to ensure and improve customers service
  • Results Delivery: Resolves issues of moderate scope and complexity where analysis of situations or data requires a variety of factors
  • Strives for Excellence: Manages self-development, including knowledge and training of professional legislative and industry requirements using both formal and self-guided methods


What You'll Be Doing

  • Interface with client payroll department on income and tax dataCalculate tax assistance based on client’s policy
  • Employ use of internal database to ensure client due dates are met based on established payroll calendar and collection schedule
  • Proactively communicates with client and updates internal and external contacts
  • Escalate non-standard service requests from the client or tax partner
  • Identify opportunities for gained efficiencies and controls
  • Achieve endorsement from manager on suggested process changes and implementations
  • Thorough review and reconciliation of year-to-date data for W2 reporting
  • Drive year-end processes through communication and delivery of client-specific reporting
  • Proactively recommend, document, and implement process improvements and efficiencies
  • Participate in Client Financial Services team meetings, cross departmental meetings, conference calls and training as needed
  • Field and resolve year-end tax assistance questions from customers
  • Prepare final year-end payroll feed and tax assistance for client W2 process
  • Audit for data integrity and taxability coding


What You Bring to BGRS

  • Associate or Bachelor’s Degree preferred, or equivalent job experience
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
  • Knowledge of Excel including vlookups, pivot tables and formulas preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail oriented and strong problem solving skills
  • Customer focused
  • Ability to multi-task and complete projects with limited supervision
  • Takes initiative to learn advanced Domestic payroll concepts and other services within the department
