We currently have an opening for an IT Operations Analyst (1 year contract) in our Toronto office.

Role Overview:

The IT Operations Analyst will split their focus between strategic planning and operational activities involved with running the BGRS IT department. Key responsibilities include financial oversight, budget tracking, invoice payments, contract management, SLA compliance, license compliance and performing various types of analysis.

Primary Responsibilities:

•Act as primary financial liaison with IT stakeholders, Accounting, Procurement, and the Financial Planning departments
•Ensure that IT invoices are paid on time and according to expected budget. This includes working closely with IT requestors of goods and services and with procurement / accounts payable
•Secure funding to manage the ongoing costs of IT
•Evaluate the financial impact of new or changing IT strategies
•Train, communicate, and facilitate good financial acumen within IT
•Report on and analyze ongoing capital and operating expenditures (dollars spent, time incurred, rates charged, KPI’s, trending, etc.)
•Ensure compliance of the financial policies and practices
•Drive the forecasting process for the IT organization; annual planning cycle and a monthly / quarterly operational cycle
•Define and maintain a framework which identifies, manages, and communicates the cost of IT
•Help track and articulate IT spend against the derived ‘business value’
•Develop processes, tools, and records to effectively manage IT vendors
•Manage license compliance, renewals and allocations
•Build and maintain a central repository of our current IT Agreements
        ◦MSA, SOW, Change Orders, Addendums, Renewals, etc.
        ◦Program Reports - Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly            
        ◦Key Contacts @ Service Provider
        ◦Service Level Agreements
        ◦Contract terms (start, end, and renewal dates)
        ◦Key business partners
•Drive overall IT financial management in the pursuit of;
        ◦Enhanced decision making
        ◦Speed of change
        ◦Financial compliance and control
        ◦Operational control
        ◦Value capture and articulation
        ◦IT efficiencies
•IT Headcount by Team: Maintain database for new hires, terms, conversion and consultants by month
        ◦Forecast monthly to Finance
        ◦Provide Internal data of staffing and allocations to team.
        ◦Resource Request tracking and status updates of approvals for new resources by CIO.

Qualifications:

Education / Experience:

•Bachelor's degree or equivalent required
•5+ years' experience in a similar role
•Experience with contract management

Required Skills

•Advanced Excel - Pivot Tables, Charts, Macros
•Proficient in MS Office including expertise with Word, PowerPoint, and Visio
•Financial Management
•Excellent Communication skills (verbal and written)
•Strong analytical and conceptual thinker and ability to learn-respond quickly as required
•Ability to take initiative and seek out answers with diligence
•Deadline orientated with a strong work ethic
•Ability to prioritize and plan work against many conflicting demands
