Role Overview:

This Reporting Analyst position is focused on providing quality reporting to our internal and external clients. Successful Reporting Analysts have solid technical knowledge, and a proven ability to understand how to retrieve data from complex data sources. They take a consultative approach and have the ability to translate business needs into data driven solutions leveraging the appropriate technology.  They have strong communication skills and are able to express how data maps to business concepts.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop reports, dashboards and perform ad-hoc queries as required using the appropriate reporting technologies
• Liaise with internal and external clients to gather, validate and document reporting requirements and provide appropriate advice and guidance on reporting and analysis solutions
• Promote the usage of self-service reporting technologies and provide ad-hoc and formal training as required
• Proactively identify, recommend and deliver automation and innovative reporting efficiencies
• Identify and document requirements for changes or additions to the BGRS Data Warehouse solutions

Qualifications:

• Ability to effectively capture report requirements from non-technical users
• Requires 2-4 years’ experience developing SQL Server Reporting Services reports using Microsoft Visual Studio
• Requires 2-4 years’ experience developing interactive dashboards for SharePoint using any combination of Microsoft Excel Services, PowerBI or PerformancePoint
• Requires strong TSQL query language knowledge and experience
• Ability to perform data discovery and reverse engineering of applications to find and expose data
• Ability to work with individuals remotely and located in different countries and time zones
• Experience creating PowerPoint Presentations focused on data visualizations
• Previous experience in Business Objects – Web Intelligence or Crystal Reports a benefit
• Previous experience with DAX or MDX query languages a benefit
