Role Overview

The Business Analyst (BA) is responsible for the activities associated with the discovery, capture, documentation and successful communication of business requirements and system functionality for multiple software applications and interfaces.  Duties include following the overall Systems Development Lifecycle (SDLC) process and completing business and systems analysis tasks and documentation while utilizing standard BA tools and techniques. The BA will work closely with members of the Information Technology delivery team and various stakeholders inside and outside the organization on various system enhancement releases and projects.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Develop a strong understanding of related business processes, features and functionality of the applications within the supported line(s) of business
  • Utilize a variety of analysis tools, techniques and approaches to the Business Analysis process
  • Facilitate meetings and requirements gathering sessions with internal and external stakeholders to elicit requirements for project and/or system enhancement requests
  • Establish and maintain solid working relationships within IT, organizational departments and external vendor partners and clients
  • Create detailed business and systems/interface requirements, process flow models, diagrams, functional specifications and technical &/or end-user documentation
  • Follow the SDLC process and comply with standards for documentation, tracking and communication of requirements
  • Meet established deadlines and quality objectives
  • Contribute to a positive team atmosphere
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service focus at all times
  • Perform other duties as assigned


What You Bring to BGRS

  • BA/BS Degree in Information Systems or equivalent degree or experience
  • 3+ years experience in a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, Product Analyst, Project Analyst &/or Process Analyst role
  • Exemplary listening, communication and documentation skills
  • Strong presentation and meeting facilitiation skills
  • Effective time management and organizational skills
  • Proven analytical, problem solving and conceptual thinking skills
  • Experience with common business conferencing and office applications (Microsoft Skype, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint,Teams and Sharepoint)
  • Experience with a variety of project management, analysis and process mapping tools
  • Experience with multiple business analysis techniques and documentation including use cases, user stories, acceptance criteria, process maps, data flow diagrams, prototypes and technical specifications
  • Exposure to multiple SDLCs including Agile, Scrum and Waterfall highly preferred
  • Business and systems analysis experience with multiple types of business and financial applications and/or systems integrations/EDIs highly preferred
  • Experience in Relocation, Real Estate and/or Financial industries highly preferred
