Reporting Analyst

This position is an integral part of the Financial and Quality Control team whose mission is to maintain and monitor financial controls and drive continuous, innovative improvement to service and process. This position will spend significant time extracting, formatting, collating, auditing and analyzing data for both internal and external client reports. This role will work closely with internal operational partners as well as IT, clients, and outside vendors.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage automated reporting processes/jobs using SQL, MS Access, Crystal Reports, Business Objects and ServiceEngine databases to reduce manual intervention and increase productivity
• Deliver standard and ad hoc reports
• Prepare and present analytical data and recommendations
• Develop the testing, implementation and validation of reports
• Perform quality control of reporting performed by department to ensure that reports are meeting the requests of the operational areas
• Coordinate development and maintenance of consistent universal data definitions for business reporting
• Understand the needs of internal and external partners to produce accurate and timely ad hoc and standard reports
• Proactively identify, support and coordinate report automation opportunities
• Proactively identify, recommend and communicate innovative reporting opportunities
• Provide data for data integrity audits
• Assist training department as SME for report training
• Act as SME to other department administrative personnel on report issues and resolutions

Qualifications

• BS in Information Technology, business or the equivalent and/or very strong related work experience, including business experience
• 3-5 years of experience in Reporting & Analytics
• Experience with FAR reporting preferred
• Strong organizational skills coupled with an exceptional attention to detail
• Experience in analysis, programming and reporting in SQL, Business Objects or other desktop processing tools
• Experience with Microsoft Access, Excel and Word
• Experience with Crystal Reports
• Experience with PERL a plus
• Understanding of how relational databases work
