Finance Assistant
 

Reporting to the Team Lead, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring appropriate accounting and disbursement of supplier expenses per client policy. Problem solving and root cause analysis to resolve outstanding supplier invoices in coordination with internal and external partners. This position requires a high level of skillful communication globally by email, Instant Message, Video Chat and phone. Responsibilities include adherence to internal objectives for timeliness, productivity and accuracy of information provided. The candidate must be highly professional and customer focused at all times. The candidate must be able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a global team environment.


Responsibilities

 

  • Resolve expense report and direct bill “On Hold” issues

  • Ensure “exception to policy” requests are processed within a timely manner

  • Auditing for data integrity of expense reports, direct bills and taxability coding

  • Provide recommendations for process improvements

  • Make recommendations for policy changes/clarifications

  • Manage timely and accurate deliverables

  • Proactive assistance and communication to our suppliers and internal partners.

  • Assist with resolving barriers in processing supplier invoices

  • Manage your own caseload as well as work with your team on joint efforts

  • Ability to learn and work in multiple systems

 

 

 

Qualifications

 

  • High school diploma required, University Degree strongly preferred

  • 2 + years payroll, accounts payable, expense auditing or other financial transaction processing environment experience

  • 2 + year’s relevant qualification with a focus on Finance or Accounting, preferred.

  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office environment and financial application – moderate to advanced knowledge of Excel required

  • Ability to multi-task and complete projects with limited supervision

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English required)

  • Demonstrated organization skills and ability to prioritize responsibilities to meet deadlines.

  • Flexibility to adapt to procedural enhancements and modifications – as well as ability to assist in updating operation instructions to reflect these enhancements.

  • Detail oriented and strong problem solving skills
